Talent pooling
   CAREER OPTIONS: TALENT POOLING

Talent pools are galeries of individuals who form a kind of strategic alliances for the goal of finding and performing work. Generally, the members of the pool have similar interests but complementary skills. In many ways a talent pool is common to the team model. However, a group typically involves a pool of talent inside organizations, whereas a talent pool continues to exist outside of a sole organizational structure. A classic example of this is a team of counsellors. These persons may have strengths in different specializations fields such as: career, addictions, marriage and family, etc. The group is can then address a wide range of issues that no one individual could address and each person can market the services of the entire group.

Men and women who thrive in talent pools strongly value other people and believe that growth and development can take place through the strengths of others. They are comfortable in alliances and are good in recognizing their own strengths and limitations. These individuals also have a higher acceptance for ambiguity than those who work in teams as the "pool" sets the main course, not a larger organization.
