CAREER OPTIONS: WORK SHARING / TEAM MODELS
This settlements involve sharing work functions, rather than positions. Most commonly, a team will be established to be in charge with specific functions, including those of management. The team becomes responsible for creating and implementing specific types of decisions, such as the development of a new product line or service. Work sharing approaches are growing in organizations while traditional job descriptions disappear and are replaced by this group work. Team members must have value each other's contributions and see the organization achievements as being more important than personal glory. They know and accept their own strengths and limitations and appreciate team contribution. One's reputation is often "put on the line" in a team-based structure.
